Sport and society
How do place and social relationships shape the production and consumption of sport?
Relevant evidence: institutions, clubs, communities, social networks, media, economic relations, public policy.
Interpretive limit: Sporting networks involve people, institutions, identities, and power relations and are not statistical dependence structures by definition.
Mathematical statistics
How can researchers determine whether an apparent shift in data is consistent with a genuine structural change?
Relevant evidence: observations, time series, panel data, test statistics, bootstrap distributions, model residuals, dependence structures.
Interpretive limit: A statistical changepoint identifies change relative to a specified model and does not explain the social or cultural cause of a change by itself.
Translation studies
What changes when a literary work moves between languages, cultures, and audiences?
Relevant evidence: source texts, translations, lexical choices, poetic form, paratexts, cultural references, reader expectations.
Interpretive limit: Translation involves linguistic and cultural mediation and should not be described as a simple mathematical transformation between equivalent systems.

SET THE REFERENCE
What counts as the baseline, source, initial period, model, or context against which change will be described?
LOCATE THE SHIFT
What appears to have changed?
Policy? Network? Parameter? Distribution? Language? Representation?
IDENTIFY THE EVIDENCE
What observations, texts, data, documents, networks, models, or historical sources support the claim?
TEST ALTERNATIVES
Could another interpretation, statistical model, translation strategy, or social explanation fit the evidence?
ADD CONTEXT
Which political, cultural, historical, linguistic, economic, or methodological conditions affect interpretation?
LIMIT THE CLAIM
State clearly what belongs to the original discipline and what cannot responsibly be transferred to another field.

Context in Motion is an independent educational prototype connecting sport and public life, mathematical statistics, and translation studies.
It does not suggest that social transitions, statistical changepoints, and cultural shifts in translation operate through equivalent mechanisms.
Instead, it examines a shared research discipline: establishing a reference point, locating a possible change, identifying evidence, testing alternatives, adding context, and limiting conclusions to what each field can actually support.
Context in Motion is not a university, sport federation, club, statistical service, translation agency, government organization, research institute, consultancy, publisher, or commercial service.
Every shift needs a reference
Without a baseline, source, period, model, or historical context, the language of change becomes ambiguous.
Evidence takes different forms
Documents, networks, statistical observations, literary texts, and translations require different analytical methods.
Interpretation belongs in context
Political, mathematical, linguistic, historical, and cultural contexts change what a result can reasonably mean.
